A Historical Note:
The Marshall Islands have a rich history dating back to the 19th century. Interestingly, during World War II, the United States took control of the islands from Japan and administered them as part of the Trust Territory of the Pacific Islands. In 1986, the Compact of Free Association was signed, granting the Marshall Islands independence. Today, the country proudly flies its national flag, a symbol of sovereignty and freedom.
