A Historical Note on Aruba Flags
The history of Aruba flags dates back to the early 20th century when the island was still a part of the Netherlands Antilles. The first flag, adopted in 1954, featured a horizontal tricolor design with blue, white, and red stripes. However, following Aruba’s secession from the Netherlands Antilles in 1986, a new flag was designed to reflect the island’s unique identity. Today, the Aruba flag is an important symbol of national pride and identity.
