A Brief History of the Honor & Remember Flag

The Honor & Remember flag was conceived in 2005 by George Lutz, a Gold Star father from Virginia, who lost his son in Iraq. The flag features an emblem that represents the more than 3,000 service members who have died in combat zones since the Vietnam War. Since its inception, the flag has become a powerful symbol of respect and remembrance for our nation’s heroes.
