A Historical Note on International Cooperation
The Uganda National Flag has undergone several changes since its adoption in 1962. The current design features six equal horizontal bands of black, yellow, and red, with a white disc at the center bearing the national emblem – a grey crowned crane. This symbol of national pride is often flown alongside other international flags, promoting unity and cooperation among nations. In fact, did you know that Uganda was one of the first African countries to gain independence from British colonial rule in 1962? Today, as we celebrate international flags, we’re reminded of the importance of cooperation and mutual respect among nations.
